Our Wines

Our philosophy is simple:

Creating the most natural and expressive wines California can offer. We believe in allowing the fruit to fully reveal itself in our wines, encouraging the personality and terroir of the vineyards, while showcasing itself to the fullest extent. Thus, allowing the wines to be true to their nature and bring harmony to the bottle.

    Cabernet Sauvignon

    Myriad 'Rarefied Air' Cabernet Sauvignon - 750ml & 1.5L

    RAREFIED - adjective

    pronounced: [ rair-uh-fahyd ]

    1. extremely high or elevated; lofty; exalted: the rarefied atmosphere of a scholarly symposium.

    2. belonging to, or appealing to an exclusive group; select; esoteric: rarefied tastes.

A new wine for Myriad and only released in 750ml & 1.5L magnum, format.  The Myriad Rarefied Air Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a fantastic bouquet of crème de cassis, blueberries, sweet earth, violets, tobacco, and spring flowers. With a magical, full-bodied texture that carries lots of tannins and mid-palate depth, it just glides over the palate with no sensation of weight or heaviness, flawless balance, and a great finish. It's a big, rich wine, yet it shines just as much for its elegance.

    * 100% Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley

Myriad Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard ‘Elysian’ Cabernet Sauvignon St Helena

Dark red fruit on the nose, dense, concentrated, pure fruit driven with woven spices and minerality on the long and winding finish. Crushed gravel lift in the mid palate plays off the natural acidity, leading to spectacular tannin management. The Elysian bottling has a slight sweetness and a seemingly never-ending skyscraper finish as its grand finale.

Myriad Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon St Helena

Our newest wine to the Myriad portfolio, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard comes from an up-and-coming site in St. Helena (next to the Dr. Crane Vineyard). It offers a gorgeous, full-bodied, powerful yet weightless style revealing tons of darker blue and black fruits, notes of chocolate, graphite, and bouquet garni, building yet polished tannins, and a great finish. It offers plenty of richness and depth, yet its weightless, elegant profile makes it stand out. It's going to evolve for two decades or more.

Myriad Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III ‘Empyrean’ Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford

Blue fruit extravaganza, soft and supple Rutherford dust mid-palate with cocoa powder tannins intermingled throughout. With full-bodied richness, it has a rounded, layered texture, a good spine of acidity, ripe yet certainly present tannins, The Empyrean barrel selection adds depth and grace to this bold and lush wine.

Myriad Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford

Blue fruit extravaganza, soft and supple Rutherford dust midpalate with cocoa powder tannin intermingled throughout. With full-bodied richness, it has a rounded, layered texture, a good spine of acidity, ripe yet certainly present tannins, and just this classic, balanced Cabernet Sauvignon profile. My money is on it benefiting from short-term bottle age.

Myriad Cabernet Sauvignon Steltzner Vineyard Stags Leap District

Strong red cassis, with nuances notes of Amarena black cherry sing from the glass. The structured mid palate concentration and exacting depth show off the Stags Leap black minerality at its finest. Waves and waves linger on a finish you want to sink your teeth into. Finally, a Mike Smith Stags Leap wine! 95-97 POINTS/ Jeb Dunnuck

Myriad Cabernet Sauvignon Round Pond Vineyard Rutherford

Red fruit dominance, with pie cherries and woven spices throughout. The smooth as silk mid palate and approachability show off the deep soil terroir this wine is grown in. Beautiful seamless layers have this deep garnet beauty at the front of the line for an early drinking window.

Wine Notes CellarTracker Robert Parker Jeb Dunnuck

    Myriad Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

An early drinker and crowd pleaser, this blue and red fruit extravaganza is ready out the gate. Lush and bold on the mid palate with notes of clove spice and toasted almond and coconut. A slight ‘baby fat’ fruit sweetness will keep everyone coming back for more…and more. Drink while waiting for your single vineyard Cabernets to integrate. An exceptional QPR and competes with wines twice its price.

Myriad Cellars Lewelling Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Lewelling Vineyards farms one of the oldest continuously-owned family vineyards in the Napa Valley. What is just as remarkable is that the Lewelling family has stayed true to their strong agricultural roots generation after generation. The fifth and sixth generations are now running Lewelling Vineyards and the seventh generation is already running among the vines. The vineyard is located in one of the Napa Valley’s historical neighborhoods with the whose who of on each side of the estate – including the Hayne Vineyard, Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard, Beckstoffer Bourn, and the old Edge Hill property.

The vineyard is eighty planted acres located at the base of the Mayacamas mountains in St. Helena. Because of its proximity to the slopes, the vineyard has benefited from thousands of years of soil erosion coming down from the hillsides. While the soils are not nearly as deep as further out in the valley floor, quantity of production is not necessarily as important when your focus is on making premium wine. For this type of wine, these alluvial deposits/bench land type soils are ideal. This part of Napa is one of the sweet spots for growing high quality Cabernet Sauvignon. Myriad is honored to make wine from this incredible

Myriad Cellars Beckstoffer ToKalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

    Gross Acreage: 89 Acres
    Plantable Acreage: 83 Acres
    Appellation: Oakville
Location: A portion of the historic original To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville
Grape Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc

Perhaps the most famous vineyard in the United States, Beckstoffer To Kalon was purchased from Beaulieu Vineyard in 1993. Napa pioneer Hamilton Crabb first planted the vineyard in 1868, and it has produced some of the Napa Valley's best red grapes ever since. Replanted in 1994 to multiple clones of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with modern trellising and closer vine spacing, the vineyard produces several highly coveted vineyard-designated wines. In 2007 the property was placed under a land conservation easement that forever prohibits non-agricultural development. Myriad is both humbled and honored to be among the top wineries invited to make a Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon. Inaugural vintage 2021

Myriad Cellars Beckstoffer Las Amigas Merlot

One of the last true agricultural stands of Napa Valley, the Carneros region harbors a great deal of character amongst its patch work of vineyards, wineries and homes. Split across Sonoma and Napa County, the Carneros region remains the coolest AVA of the valley due to its proximity to the San Francisco Bay. The long, cool growing season is a result of the ingress of fog in the morning and evening, modulating the temperatures during the summer and fall months. Largely assumed to be suited only for grazing land due to poor soil and persistent cloud coverage until the 90’s, Carneros (ram in Spanish) is the viticultural ideal for cooler climate varieties, pioneered by winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff. This vineyard was acquired and planted in 1993 to 410 acres of different clones of Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Merlot. The clonal selections are integral to producing a wine of depth, texture and character. Yields are limited, allowing for the vine to produce the truest expression of the fruit without compromise. Merlot from this vineyard is dark, inky and full of balance. Myriad Cellars is excited to add this wine to the portfolio in 2022.

Myriad Rarefied Air Beckstoffer Melrose Vineyard Proprietary White Wine

The Beckstoffer Melrose vineyard is located in the heart of Rutherford, surrounding Andy and Betty Beckstoffer's personal home. Light blonde and beautiful, this wine is citrus fruit-driven with lifted notes of lemon zest, clementine, crushed oyster shells and flinty starfruit. The natural chalky white Bordeaux like minerality 'coat your mouth’ texture in this wine is undeniable. Incredible mid-palate depth with a crystalline mouthfeel, slight match stick reduction and co-mingling the grape varieties, transcend into the sensory hallmarks of a white Bordeaux style. This is coupled with a richness of premium new French oak, layers and depth of flavor with an explosion of fresh fruit & minerals. BRILLIANT! ~ Mike Smith

    Myriad Halcon Vineyard Syrah Mendocino

Sadly, Myriad did not make a 2019 Halcon Syrah due to frost damage.

The wine critics have touted the Halcon Vineyard as “More Côte Rôtie than Côte Rôtie!” A perfume of black raspberries, white pepper, bay leaf and olive. This medium-bodied Syrah is fresh, elegant, and lively, with terrific purity. The added complexities from the vineyard site and elevation coupled with pure and new world winemaking this a stand out among top California Syrahs.

    Wine Notes CellarTracker Jeb Dunnuck

Myriad Sangiacomo Syrah - 100% Whole Cluster Sonoma Valley

The Sangiacomo Vineyard 100% Whole Cluster is more expressive than the destemmed release.  Gorgeous red and blue fruits, peppery herbs, spring flowers, bay leaf, and gamey notes all emerge from the glass.   This  medium-bodied top Côte Rôtie look-a-like is beautifully balanced, and flowing with silky, ripe tannins.

    Wine Notes CellarTracker Jeb Dunnuck

    Myriad Cellars Vivio Vineyard Syrah

Vivio was one of the first of the “renaissance” vineyards to be planted in the Petaluma Gap, the wind-sheared channel between Bodega and San Pablo Bays – a source of bracingly structured, increasingly sought-after cool-climate wine. Typical of the Vivio approach to grape growing – there is no stone left unturned in trying to grow the best possible grapes in Petaluma Gap.. If it takes baby-doll sheep for mowing, or planting Alyssum under the vines, or netting the vines to stop bird damage, or organic farming practices, then these are all methods employed at Vivio Estate. This amazing vineyard site is gently sloping to the west in an area just north of San Pablo Bay where very cool breezes from the Petaluma Gap and lots of fog allow grapes to keep natural acidity and to develop flavors without getting too high in sugar. As well as being great people to work with, we have a great respect for their commitment to sustainable practices.

The vineyard grows both Syrah and Pinot noir and is planted with a number of highly regarded clones of both. In 2020 we were able to get tiny amounts of this highly sought after Syrah to add to our cool climate portfolio. It’s the cool climate Syrah that Mike has always wanted to make. , Elegant, delicate and expressive side of the grape this will produce a wine with intensity without being heavy and with naturally balanced acid, tannin and fruit. Our most Cab-Like Syrah we've produced. Amazing addition to the Myriad Syrah portfolio.

    Wine Notes

    Myriad Cellars Jemrose Vineyard Syrah

Set in the hilly area at the southern end of Bennett Valley, at an elevation of 623 feet, the soils are a good mix of Los Robles gravelly clay loam and volcanic black glass. Several premiere syrahs have been produced from Jemrose. Wonderfully brisk nights and gentle warm days are ideal for premium wine grape growing. These vines are framed by steep hills allowing the cooling night breezes to sweep coastal fog in on most nights that give way quickly each morning to brilliant sunshine.

Made from 100% Syrah brought up in French oak, the Myriad Cellars Jemrose Vineyard Syrah offers blackberry, licorice, camphor and roasted herb characteristics. Medium to full-bodied and lush. An absolute delight for Syrah lovers.
