Our favorite history lesson in the Napa Valley, the Tofanelli Estate vineyard has been farming on a daily basis since 1929. Extremely limited production enables a detailed focus on  farming quality with a hands on approach that reaches from grapevine to bottle.This famed heritage vineyard is located at the top of the Napa Valley near the town of Calistoga. Visually, the old and gnarled vines hearken back to another era. The historical farming methods still used were once prevalent throughout the valley; no irrigation (not even a drip line to be seen), with an organic philosophy. Known for its Zinfandel and Old Vine Semillon,  they also farm rare and unusual varietals such as Charbono, Sauvignon Musqué,  Petite Sirah, Carignane, Grenache, Mondeuse Noir and Cinsault.  A gem of vineyard and family, this is one of Myriad favorites.
