2012 Myriad Cellars Syrah
Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard, Napa Valley

Sugarloaf Mountain is located on the southern-most tip of Napa Valley overlooking the low lands of San Pablo Bay.  Its Southwest facing slopes are planted on fractured volcanic rock and pumice.  This stressed environment coupled with strong bay breezes naturally produce a miniscule 1.5 to 2 tons per acre contributing to this vineyards fruit concentration and beautiful natural acidity.

2012 Myriad Cellars Syrah Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard The color is deep purple to the rim and is followed by aromatics of Asian pepper, violets, Lavender, blackberries and savory components that soar from the glass.  These gorgeous notes are followed by a racy and meaty palate that is concentrated, balanced and masculine.  Its bold structure allows this wine to flow effortlessly into a complex and prominent finish.

A few years of bottle age will round out this wine and it will drink well for 8-12 years.
